Handmade by the Nambya people from the Hwange district of Zimbabwe using locally harvested Ilala palm leaves and split bamboo, features a white outside rim and complicated geometric designs. A weaving skill that has been passed from one generation to another. basket is Ideal for wall hanging thanks to the concave structure that will add natural texture and shades to your wall.

Note - You will get the basket from the first image and there is only one. Hwange baskets are made by hand and from natural materials. Slight differences and imperfections are part of the product and give the product a unique look.
Ilala palm is a species of palm tree native to the eastern Afrotropics. This plant has for many centuries, in addition to providing weaving materials, been used for many other needs. The palm fronds are sustainably harvested and traded to the weavers. The weavers pull the palm fronds into strips and dye the strips utilizing seasonal fruits, roots, and barks of specific trees to obtain a variety of colors - a technique that is handed down from old masters to young ones.
Our partners in the north part of Zimbabwe are the Nambya people, an ethnic group of 300,000 people, who are famous for their baskets and are part of the LUPANE center. The members of this organization engage in a variety of income-generating activities, including gardening, livestock, crafts, beekeeping, and various cottage industries. Through training, information on their rights and responsibilities as citizens, and marketing opportunities for their produce, this initiative empowers women.
